With 18 years as model railway buyers under our belt, we have the expertise to understand the true market value of your trains. So whether you have a Hornby set that’s looking for a new home, or if you have the odd Märklin model train laying around and are wondering whether it has any value… we can help!
If you are looking to sell model trains on behalf of a relative, then we have the expertise to collect and dismantle complex models as part of our service.
Since we’re fellow train enthusiasts, we are interested in buying all brands of model trains, so even if it’s a niche brand, we’re always interested!
When selling via online auction platforms, the sale price you receive might not reflect the true market value of your trains, but with Littleworth Models, we pay a fair price based on the market and brand knowledge we’ve gained over nearly two decades of buying and selling!
How it All Started
Littleworth is named after the historical Littleworth Station that opened on 17th October 1848. The station was located in the village of Deeping St. Nicholas, and was a vital station in the transportation of agricultural products, particularly potatoes, into London.
Littleworth Railway Station was part of a wider railway network operating as a stop on the Great Northern Railway’s Lincolnshire Loop Line, which was briefly a main route for traffic heading north.
The station is now no longer in operation and closed to passengers in 1961, fully ceasing goods transport in 1964. Now the station lives on as a crucial element of British transport history.
The station is a key inspiration for all we do here at Littleworth Models, playing a big part in getting us into model railways in the first place. Trying to replicate its glory with models!
